Lennon is distinctly absent for reasons unknown. The reason is, he has woken up with fuzzy brown ears and a short fluffy tail. He'd quickly realized he has some fangs too when he'd bit his lip open.
Sorry Lennon, but you have started something with him. And fae don't give up who or what they consider to be theirs easily. So when Daeshim doesn't see his human, doesn't hear from him either, he naturally goes looking for him. And when he finds a door locked between them-
He sends his vines through it, through the keyhole and under the door, until they either trick the lock or simply find and turn it. And then he's through it, quick little steps across the threshold, the normal line of his mouth turned down a little more than usual.
[ Honestly, he should probably ask Daeshim this in person but sometimes it's easier to think clearly when he has time to really plan out what he's going to say, when he doesn't have to look at Daeshim. ]
Lennon isn't sure how long it's been since he'd left his and Dae's room. The heat he's feeling has blurred his senses some and whenever Daeshim is gone he curls into the blankets and feels frustrated that he's not there. He needs him and not being held by him physically hurts.
There's some time when his thoughts are clearer and he's annoyed at the fact that Daeshim's trapped him in the room -- but he's even more annoyed by the fact that Daeshim isn't with him. Who is he with? He wants him all to himself. Daeshim is his. He's Daeshim's...
Lennon had tried to figure out how to get through the thorned vines, a blanket wrapped around himself. His thoughts are a bit clearer. He needs to make sure Baein is fed and... needs to make sure everything's going okay. And he needs to know what Daeshim is doing. He pouts at the vines, smacking one and ignoring the sting as he pokes himself with a thorn before flopping down to sit cross-legged and wait on Daeshim to come back.
Time had ceased to have meaning at some point. If he wasn't tangled up with Lennon, then they were sleeping between rounds. Sometimes the fever would break and the Fae would wonder exactly what had come over him. But then a whimper or a touch was all it would take to rekindle it. Anything that suggested that Lennon needed him.
And he needed Lennon too. It was a fair deal that existed between them, each belonging to the other. He thinks about this when he wakes and sees the human still sleeping. Daeshim brushes his hair back from his face, and tries to ignore the bruises and scratches on his body, knowing that he's the one who put them there.
He forgets about the vines when he goes to the kitchen, not realizing that they're as protective as they are, and likely still under their own influence from this spell. They only retreat to allow Daeshim back into the room, tray in hand. He blinks when he sees him on the floor.
Felix likes to be outside and well it seems like Daeshim also likes to go outside. It's sometime after the party -- not too many days later as they wander.
"Do you know what these flowers are?" Sawyer points at the flowers that when you smell them kiss your nose. He remembers smelling one at the party and then... well strange things happened after that. He has no idea that the pollen's already in the air and the affects of happiness and wanting to share it with hugs and the like will start in soon.
He does like the sun and the rain and the fresh air, though he's fond of moonlight and fog too. Daeshim blinks at the flowers that Sawyer points out, and probably steps a little closer to them than he should.
"Nothing like them in the Ruinwood."
Which makes them automatically interesting. The Fae crouches down in front of one, but doesn't touch.
[A couple days after meeting Daeshim, Gaura has found him a box. Since he's not sure if he'll see him, he leaves the box where the other can find it with a little note that reads:]
Daeshim,
I found this box for you. I think it will be the right size to protect your treasure. Store it here and I will always know that it holds something precious to you. I'll keep it safe whenever I clean.
[he'd expected something like a cardboard box - and that would've been fine. daeshim doesn't need fancy possessions.
he wasn't expecting anything like the box that he was gifted. it is...perfect, and he spends long minutes just looking at it before finally daring to pick it up. he's careful, even as he holds it up and spends around.
sorry, not sorry he is shoving this in everyone's face so that they can also appreciate its perfection.]
After everything with Baein, it's close to bedtime and Baein had gone on his way at some point. Lennon slips out of his t-shirt again and back to just the booty shorts he'd been wearing as he stretches out and rests his head on Daeshim's chest.
"I...want this room to be just ours, this bed..." he says softly. "Where you go to sleep by me every night and wake up by me in the morning..."
He's tired...at peace, but tired. It's a strange feeling for Daeshim, and he's having trouble figuring out what everyone around him probably already knows: feelings are hard.
"Maybe I need to add ginger to my tea..." He murmurs the words to himself, because that's what he comes up with instead. His fingers are lazily combing through Lennon's hair, and he doesn't even know for sure that he's still awake until he speaks.
He blinks a couple of times at the request. But the two of them have always done things like this, whether it's about hot chocolate or Fridays.
Lennon lays in bed when it gets close to bedtime but as the minutes tick by Daeshim still hadn't arrived. He frowns. Is he that upset with him...? Lennon's emotions are still a mess of guilt and hurt and feeling all around terrible.
He makes his way out of bed and in search of Daeshim, ending up at the other's room and looking at him tiredly. He'd spent a while with Jasper and then he'd gone in to work for a couple hours. He'd even showered with the door open when he came home but Daeshim hadn't come.
He opens the door to find his fae, looking at him and feeling the swell of guilt and hurt getting stronger and he pushes it all down.
"Are you coming to bed?" he asks, trying to sound annoyed.
He was more confused than anything. After weeks, Lennon had swept the iron shavings away. He'd told Daeshim to come and see. And when he did...
He wasn't wanted. Lennon's lips had said the opposite, you are never unwanted, but Daeshim could feel it. And it made him wonder for the first time, where else did this happen? Jasper's kitchen, Baein's garden, Hunter's personal space in general. How many places had he happily gone when they'd hated to see him coming?
"Humans are terrifying." That's what he'd told his mushrooms after going to the only place that felt welcoming to him. It's fine, he should be spending more time in here anyway, with his box of dirt and things that he'd gathered from around Nippon and the tiny pineapple tree that already needed repotting.
Time moves differently for him, and he doesn't realize just how late it is until Lennon shows up at his door with circles under his eyes. Daeshim blinks at him before looking down at his dirty hands.
Sawyer had overslept this day. He's behind on everything but by some miracle, Dawnya had slept past her usual feeding time and Sawyer had gotten a bit of extra sleep after Bishop had already left for the bar. However, this puts him behind on everything needed to be done that day. He bites on his lip after he'd gotten ready, fed Dawnya and started some laundry before sending Daeshim a text.
Would you still be willing to bring over some food?
Leggy meows and scurries up his leg a bit before Sawyer is shooing it away and adjusting Dawnya in his arms before looking at the time.
Someone should probably teach him how to have one of those baby wrap around things honestly it'd make his life easier.
His timing is perfect. Daeshim's thoughts are starting to turn towards the fall of the year, and fall means one thing: soup. It's one thing that he actually cooks, full of chunky vegetables and potatoes, and herbs that he grew himself. Daeshim has just finished tasting it for himself when he gets the text.
you will see me soon.
He can always fix a second pot for the house later, so he puts a lid on it, wraps some bread and cookies up, and takes it all out to the basket on his bicycle that's normally filled with flowers.
sometime after the other scenes idk
Nope.
Can't go out like this.
Won't answer the phone either.
You'll just have to bust in.

Lennon and I are currently accepting applications for boyfriends. If interested, please answer the following questions and we will get back to you.
1. Do you like us?
2. Do you like babies?
3. Which do you think is better, kissing or sex?
Didn’t read the terms and conditions.
2. Yep. Except when they poop.
3. Kissing. Sex is nice too, though.
