[ baein is already zoning out a little bit, the taste of hunter's blood like nothing he's ever tasted before. perhaps it's because they're similar? it's entirely different and almost addictive if he isn't careful.

whatever pain hunter feels should subside after a little moment. he's still a babypire and can't really make someone feel euphoric from a bite yet, but there's lingering traces of it here and there.

all he manages is a muffled, quite noise as he clutches a little at the other, pressing closer. ]

[ Hunter quickly realizes that this actually isn’t bad at all. His eyes lid for a moment before he chooses to just close them. His fingers curl and brush against the others back and in his hair to offer enough sensation so that Baein knows he’s still with him. That it’s okay.

He relaxes forward a little into him and hums quietly; a warm sound as he tips his head a little against his. ]

’Told you it’d be okay.’

[ it's with a whimper baein almost startles at the voice in his head before he manages to pull back and release hunter from the bite. he turns to look at the other, a bit of blood smudged at the corner of his lips. ]

'What?'

[ he's staring at hunter as he says it— thinks it back, and then his eyes widen when he realizes he didn't say that outloud. ]

[ he almost doesn’t want it to end that quickly, which is a funny thought.

But when Baein pulls back from the bite, Hunter opens his eyes and lazily looks over his face before his eyes fall on the smudge. Cute.

He reaches up to cup his face gently in his hands and lightly licks the smudge away. ]

’I told you it would be okay…didn’t hurt that bad. And I’m still conscious so…unless I taste bad or you don’t wanna…you can always have me if you need me.’

[ baein's eyes are almost saucers, lips parted, showing the bloody insides of his mouth, as if he's bled internally. (which, obviously he hasn't). and then hunter leans in to lick the little smudge away and the vampire can't help the little noise he lets out.

only to immediately blink in confusion when hunters voice still sounds inside his head and baein finds that he can reply. ]

I... I... you didn't. Not at all. Taste bad, that is. ... can I... are we talking in our heads?

[ the blood doesn’t bother Hunter, at least. and he doubts anything could make Baein look bad so he just smiles a little when he makes that little noise.

another softer kiss it presses to the corner of his mouth before Hunter leans back on his hands to watch him. ]

’Can you…what?

Oh. Mhm…I always could do it but I’m guessing it’s new for you?’

[ baein kisses back without thinking, though he's holding hunters hands in his as the other pulls back. there's a certain awe over his expression. ]

I didn't know I could do it! Or am I doing it? Or is it just because you're doing it—?

[ Baes face…

Hunter smiles more, nose crinkling as he chuckles. ]

You’re doing it, too. I’m only giving you mine, not reaching for yours.

Wah... I didn't— I didn't know...

[ for the first time since he turned, baein finds it something he doesn't outright dislike about himself. ]

Mm…now you do.

[ his hands squeeze the others and he noses in against him again. ]

And you didn’t hurt me.

[ the prince tilts his head into the affection, ears laying back on the top of his head, not in displeasure but the kind where cats just flattens their ears as they rub agains something. his tail is also having a mind of its own as it curls around his waist, tip brushing against hunters wrists. ]

Mm... m-mh...

[ there's a sense of quiet to his voice, a little shake as if he's not sure how to process it all. mostly he knows he doesn't really hurt anyone, still hasn't, amazingly, but it cements even more now and hunter is so sincere and baein can almost feel it, how the other's voice in his head is his thoughts and not words to veil what he really thinks.

and it's a lot. baein clears his throat a little and wets his lips unconsciously, swallow down the remnants of blood left in his mouth. ]

Yeah. I... I believe you.

[ …that’s his favorite part - thoughts can’t lie like the tongue can. It also scares him a little…

He swallows when Baein does, almost a reflex. ]

…the blood doesn’t bother me. Nothing about you bothers me. I like having you close…maybe too much…

...too much? I mean... I like it too.

[ he doesn't even bother to try and hide it, his inner voice easily falling into place when he replies in kind. ]

[ he smiles immediately, a little embarrassed by how quickly such simple words could have that effect… ]

It doesn’t bother you that I always find you…?

What? No...

[ frowning, baein can't think of a reason as to why anything about hunter would bother him at all. ]

Why would it?

I just don’t want to be a bother…too clingy or something. I mean…if you ever don’t want company I want you to tell me, okay? It won’t hurt my feelings.

[ gently he pulls his hands free and wraps his arms around Baeins waist, tucking his face in his neck With a little yawn. ]

You're not! You're not a bother... never. I... I enjoy the company. Maybe a little too much?

[ baein rubs at the back of his neck and looks down, though he doesn't protest as hunter cuddles up to him. on the contrary, he curls around him in turn, tucking himself closer as his voice lowers a little. ]

I... I've always felt like I couldn't ask someone for a hug or for... well, anything like this before. Sometimes it feels like I'm making up for it, or that I'll just feel lonelier than anything if I don't.

Mm…same but different. Okay. So we both need it. This. Neither is a bother or a burden.

…and the kissing is really okay? What…I mean, would more…than that be okay…too?

[ he nips softly at the others skin but doesn’t seem to push for any of that ‘more’. ]

Different?

[ the question has baein pull back just enough to look at hunter through half lidded eyes, feeling his cheeks flush a dark red now that he has blood in him for it. ]

More...? [ the prince swallows hard and then he nods jerkily, before he tucks his face against hunter's shoulder. ] Yes... Yes, I... I want... that? I do.

I couldn’t ask for hugs or anything but that’s cause people thought I was dangerous… I feel like for you it was a different reason…

[ he smiles a little and squeezes Bae a little closer as if that were possible… ]

I want you…

You can ask me anytime! Whenever you want!

[ the prince feels like he's louder like this, as if his voice is more crisp, clearer, as if he's back to who he was before he was turned. he can't help to return the smile, exhilaration trailing down his spine.

he has to swallow when hunter voices his wants, and it feels real in a way baein can't even begin to describe. ]

I do too...

[ the difference is there, enough for Hunter to notice. He smiles, all of his insides a little fuzzy with warmth that he also manages to project onto the other…

It’s what he thinks next that causes him to mirror that swallow… ]

You do?

[ there's a heat that baein wants to wrap around himself like a blanket. the fact that he just fed helps as well, and the usual chill in his body is not really present.

swallowing again, baein ducks his head and nods. ]

I do.

[ he lets them linger like that for a few moments, quietly savoring the new connection but eventually he doe bring his hands up to softly cradle the others face, using his thumbs to tip his chin up so he can kiss him again. ]

anytime you want…I’m yours, okay?

[ the vampire kisses back, relaxing into it almost entirely, a soft noise escaping him. ]

I... I've never done anything but kissing.
