He does like the sun and the rain and the fresh air, though he's fond of moonlight and fog too. Daeshim blinks at the flowers that Sawyer points out, and probably steps a little closer to them than he should.
"Nothing like them in the Ruinwood."
Which makes them automatically interesting. The Fae crouches down in front of one, but doesn't touch.
There's something about Daeshim that puts Sawyer at ease. He's still shy and mostly quiet but he feels like it's okay to ask him questions and spending time with him is pleasant. He doesn't have to talk if there's nothing to say and some people aren't always okay with that.
"When you smell them... the petals come up to your nose," Sawyer explains and then tilts his head. "What do you mean they giggle?"
"Mm. I can't understand them. There's just...giggling."
He's not sure how else to explain it. Isn't sure that that makes much sense as it is. They're strange to him, which isn't really a surprise. It's really only that which grows in the Ruinwood that Daeshim can understand.
"I don't really understand," Sawyer says softly but he doesn't push for him to explain either. He tilts his head as he looks at the flowers and smiles. They make him feel warm and fuzzy.
"Plants can be very aggressive! Some trees will grow taller to get the best light. Or some plants might secrete something that draws insects to devour their competition. It's all very dramatic."
And Daeshim looks very proud to be sharing this information. It's things about the forest that not everyone knows.
"Oh..." Sawyer's never thought of plants that way before but it's interesting to hear Daeshim talk about it. He smiles shyly as he glances at the flowers again. He has weird memories where these flowers are concerned but still...
