[ too far away.

That’s something Hunter is realizing. He doesn’t like when Baein is too far away. All of his senses tune in and when there’s a distance that seems too big…it makes his fingers itchy.

Instinct makes him want to comfort him.

He reaches for the vampire and hums quietly, bottom lip being worries between his teeth as he tries to get Baein to come closer again. ]

I know you don’t like being what you are. But when I look at you, I don’t see a vampire that wants to eat everyone in the treehouse. You’re just Bae. Sweet, sexy, cozy Bae. You’re not bad…and you have needs. You might not like them but they’re part of you… if you’re hungry — eat.

[narcolepsy]

[ it's almost impossible to resist the faint pink flush that spreads over his cheeks when hunter compliments him. baein doesn't really agree all the time, but it fills him with a warmth he can't, and won't, shake. ]

Mm... it's... I almost always am. But... I don't like that. That it's always there. As if it can't be sated.

[ he shifts a little where he stands, but he doesn't pull away this time. ]

[ Hunter stops gnawing at his lip and gently tugs on Bae.

Closer.

But he moves at the same time to close the little distance between them. Brushing the back of his fingers over the others cool cheek and tucking his hair back. ]

Maybe that’s because you’re not taking enough. Or…maybe you just need to take it more regularly. You have options, Bae. Don’t suffer when you don’t have to.

It's not suffering...

[ his voice trails off as hunter brings them closer together, and because of the topic, baein finds his senses automatically tune in to the warmth of life of another person in front of him. if his eyes flash red, he doesn't notice it. it's very subtle and soft but it's there, in how they slowly take on a more saturated hue. ]

[ it’s subtle but Hunter is surprisingly honed into Baes energy, his vibration… his eyes lid a little and he lightly licks his bottom lip. ]

I’m with you a lot…you could take a little when you wake up. A little when you sleep. And save Lennon for the…longer…meals.

[narcolepsy]

[ something inside baein feels like it's tangling in a jumble, and he swallows thickly. the vampire part of him is very in tune with this idea, meanwhile baein himself feels at odds with it.

but maybe... if... since it's hunter, it's okay. ]

I... maybe...

[ Hunter watches Baein carefully before he leans in to kiss him softly. ]

Just consider it. It might help.

[ a little smile pulls at his lips and he takes a breath. ]

Come to bed.

[narcolepsy]

[ opening and closing his mouth, the vampire settles for nodding shakily instead, and he follows hunter if he tugs him along, a little lost in the moment. ]

...promise me you... you eat after.

[ he knows about lennon's aversion to food, which is one more reason baein sometimes shies away from eating himself, because lennon doesn't, and baein isn't about to potentially drink from him until he passes out.

well he's not about to do that to anyone. ]

[ oh Baein is definitely tugged along.

The words are halted but Hunter understands and he nods quickly. ]

Promise. I mean, I eat a lot as is but yeah, I promise. You won’t have to worry about that. If you don’t like how I taste I can be emergency backup or something.

[ he smiles and adjusts his sweater so he’s not sitting on it funny. ]

[narcolepsy]

[ that startles a laugh out of him, and baein settles on the bed beside him. ]

I don't think you will.

[ fidgeting, he wonders if hunter meant now or later. and belatedly he looks up, eyes a little wide because he hasn't even asked. ]

Ah... now?

[adistraction]

Now would probably be good.

[ he chuckles and softens a bit. He knows this isn’t something that a large part of Baein really wants to do but… ]

How do you want to take it…?

[narcolepsy]

[ his answer is immediate. ]

You decide. What sounds the most comfortable for you.

[adistraction]

[ surprised, he absently glances over what he can see of himself…

Too many options. Too much thinking involved.

He’s quiet for a moment but when he tips his head he’s smiling again. ]

Kiss me first.

[narcolepsy]

[ baein blinks a little at the request, taken back, but then he leans in to give hunter a soft kiss. ]

[ everything has a reason…

The kiss is soft, but Hunter pulls Baein into his lap and deepens the kiss. ]

Wherever you want, Bae. Wherever feels right.

[narcolepsy]

[ the kiss would leave him breathless if he needed to breathe, but when it breaks, he manages to look a little out of it anyway, eyes darting over hunter's face before it flickers to his neck and then up again. ]

It might hurt...

[adistraction]

It’ll be fine. Promise.

[ Hunter isn’t worried about the pain. He isn’t a masochist per say but the idea of pain doesn’t bother him so much.

He bumps their noses together and smiles, reaching up to lightly thread his fingers into Baeins hair. ]

[narcolepsy]

[ baein shivers a little, eyes slipping shut at the nosebump before he leans his head into hunter's hand. his own hands are trailing down hunter's sides, to settle on his waist. ]

All right...

[adistraction]

[ nodding, he bites his bottom lip and waits. His fingers massage gently into the others hair to try and help him relax. ]

It’s okay. We’ll take care of each other.

[narcolepsy]

Mm... promise to push me away if it's... too much.

[ baein shifts his head a little so he's nose to nose with hunter's neck instead, kissing him there lightly first, just for a moment, before he sinks his fangs into his skin. ]

[adistraction]

Promise.

[ his hand continues to cradle the others head as he moves into position but he’s calm about it. Even knowing what it is that’s about to happen, he’s oddly calm.

The kiss is gentle, followed by the sharpness of the fangs; the contrast is…interesting. It’s painful, sure, but it’s also short lived. The surrounding pressure of lips and tongue against his skin is distraction enough and Hunter breathes out the air he has been holding, preparing himself.

It’s not bad.

Fingers curl and keep Baein close. ]

It’s good. Don’t worry.

[narcolepsy]

[ baein is already zoning out a little bit, the taste of hunter's blood like nothing he's ever tasted before. perhaps it's because they're similar? it's entirely different and almost addictive if he isn't careful.

whatever pain hunter feels should subside after a little moment. he's still a babypire and can't really make someone feel euphoric from a bite yet, but there's lingering traces of it here and there.

all he manages is a muffled, quite noise as he clutches a little at the other, pressing closer. ]

[ Hunter quickly realizes that this actually isn’t bad at all. His eyes lid for a moment before he chooses to just close them. His fingers curl and brush against the others back and in his hair to offer enough sensation so that Baein knows he’s still with him. That it’s okay.

He relaxes forward a little into him and hums quietly; a warm sound as he tips his head a little against his. ]

’Told you it’d be okay.’

[narcolepsy]

[ it's with a whimper baein almost startles at the voice in his head before he manages to pull back and release hunter from the bite. he turns to look at the other, a bit of blood smudged at the corner of his lips. ]

'What?'

[ he's staring at hunter as he says it— thinks it back, and then his eyes widen when he realizes he didn't say that outloud. ]

[adistraction]

[ he almost doesn’t want it to end that quickly, which is a funny thought.

But when Baein pulls back from the bite, Hunter opens his eyes and lazily looks over his face before his eyes fall on the smudge. Cute.

He reaches up to cup his face gently in his hands and lightly licks the smudge away. ]

’I told you it would be okay…didn’t hurt that bad. And I’m still conscious so…unless I taste bad or you don’t wanna…you can always have me if you need me.’
